The Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes in Romania (IICCR) and Polirom Publishing House released the first textbook on the history of communism in Romania

The event took place on Wednesday, September 10 at 5.30 PM, at Green Hours (Calea Victoriei 120), Bucharest. Lucia Hossu Longin-Secretary General within the IICCR, Stejărel Olaru-Director General within the IICCR, Daniela Zaharia – Scientific Secretary within the Faculty of History, University of Bucharest, His Excelency, Mr. Jaap L. Werner – The Ambassador of the Netherlands in Bucharest, Dr. Holger Dix – Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Bucharest, Dr. Dorin Dobrincu – Coordinator of the Commission for the Analysis of Communist Dictatorship in Romania, Cristian Adomniţei, Minister of Education, Research and Youth, Victor Rebengiuc- actor, Liviu Mihaiu-journalist and Raluca Grosescu-IICCR researcher spoke in the opening of the event.

The authors of the textbook are Mihai Stamatescu- teacher of history at “Traian Lalescu” High School in Orşova, Raluca Grosescu- coordinator of the Documenattion and Research Office within the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes in Romania, Dorin Dobrincu- researcher at the “A.D. Xenopol” Institute of History and coordinator of the Presidential Commission for the Analysis of Communist Dictatorship in Romania, Andrei Muraru- researcher at the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes in Romania, Liviu Pleşa- researcher at the National Council for Studying the Securitate Archives, member of the Presidential Commission for the Analysis of Communist Dictatorship in Romania, Sorin Andreescu- teacher of history at School no. 165, Bucharest.
