International Cooperation

After 1989, in the former european communist states were established organisms and institutions concerned with investigating communist crimes and abuses. They have, just like the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes in Romania, departments specialized in archives research and have already published a series of reports.

Since its foundation in 2006, The Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes in Romania has concluded two cooperation agreements with The Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) from Poland, in 2008, and The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes from the Czech Republic, in 2009.
